This page describes the steps which can be followed if issues are not automatically created by systems communicating to Jira and by addresses which are allowed to create issues by sending a e-mail to support@yamaha-motor.eu.

Step-by-step guide 

  1. Check to see if the message reaching the e-mail account . Have the mail server administrator confirmed that e-mail sent to the JIRA application account is successfully reaching the account's Inbox. ( ask Joost van Hemert, Bianca van der Meer)
  2. Check that the Create Or Comment Handler service configured correctly in the JIRA application. Please review Creating Issues and Comments from Email to assess this. 

  3. Check that the permissions are set properly. Does the user submitting the issue have Create Issue permissions in the Permission Scheme
    User need to be a member of  group: YMEUACJiraIssueEmailCreators
  4. Run a test on for Inbound mail server to see if any error is generated.

    1. Go to Jira → System - Mail
       

    2. Select Edit
    3. Click on:  Test connection
    4. Error notification will be shown this need to be forwarded to Infra team to investigate, Frameworkers must check if the  Exchange server and if the IMAP services are running.

Exchange server not running:  action Frameworkers team: Reboot server  ( servername can be found in Yamaha Maillserver Inboud - Host,)

Message: ssl peer shut down incorrectly

Cause: IMAP service not running:
