Introduction Infonet
Infonet is a communication-tool from YME to distribute and archive Business-information towards the many contactpersons at several types of Yamaha Motor Europe's business-partners
(Yamaha Global Group companies, Yamaha European Group Companies, Third parties, Suppliers and other B2B Partners).
Infonet is designed for Business-purpose and is considered more as a tool, than a newsletter.
Requests to access the several categories, which are available, are therefore expected to be on need-to-know base.
Based on these conditions, Infonet will send a weekly e-mail to its users, notifying them of unread articles and encourage them to be kept up-to-date.
The INFONET application is used by the following divisions:
- Parts & Accessories
PTW
Marine
Marketing & Communication
RVPP
- SPV
How to reach Infonet
Infonet can be reached via the following URL: https://infonet.yamaha-motor.eu/
How to subscribe to Infonet
Register a new account
To register a new account, use the following link: https://infonet.yamaha-motor.eu/#/registration/new
After submission, two steps will follow:
1. Creation of the account by YME-IS, taking into acccount the following conditions:
- First and last name to recognize the user.
- E-mail address should be recognizable as a business address (general mail-addresses as xxx@gmail.com will not be accepted)
- Organisation determines the business relation and should exist in Infonet.
- Job description to understand the need for access to requested categories.
After this step has been completed, the account has been created and an e-mail with a password-link is being sent to the new Infonet-user.
And at the same time...
2. The Administrators of each Division will receive a request for the actual access to categories, if applicable.
After access is allowed, this is followed by a confirmation e-mail to the user.
Please, be aware that YME IS will not give access to the categories; these tasks and responsibilities are kept within each division.
This is how each Division is controlling their own flow of information.
Category access
Access to the several categories will be under the control of each Division, for which we assigned at least one Administrator per Division:
Ingrid de Vries / Ricardo Loor
Saravana Elango
Aufrida Pamungkas
Laura D'Accardi / Wouter Postma
Erik van de Rovaart / Ton van Geenhuizen (e-Bike)
Elisa Dorn
These persons could be contacted for questions related to access to categories per division, but also when user-roles are to be changed (YME only).
Account issues
Besides unexpected situations, we acknowledge the following account-issues:
- User accounts are automatically de-activated after not logging in for more than 3 months, for safety-reasons.
- User-accounts are manually deleted after not logging in for 12 months or if the mail-address no longer exists.
- For the re-activation of the Infonet account, or if you have forgotten your password you can use the link 'I can’t log in to my account' in the login-screen.
After entering your e-mail address, a password reset link will be sent to the e-mail address that is registered for this account and the account will be active again. - For all other account-issues, you will have to contact one of the Administrators.
See below the step by step guide how to activate my Infonet account
- Log in screen, select 'I can’t log in to my account'
- After selecting the link, your e-mail address is requested
- If the request is validated, you will see a confirmation of the activation and the notification of an e-mail with your new password.
- Click on 'Reset your password' link received by e-mail.
- Via the link you will be redirected to the reset password option.
- After changing the password and clicking on 'Reset password' button below message appears.
- You can now log in with your e-mailaddress and the new password.
Message: 'Cannot fulfill the request for a password reset at this moment. If this problem persists, please contact support '
When this message appears it is caused by the following:
- An Infonet account is not existing for the specified email address, a new Infonet account needs to be registered.
If there is a registered account and password reset is still failing via the link a ticket need to be raised in the Jira Supportdesk portal https://support.yamnet.com/ for Business Applications support, application Infonet to reset the password for your Infonet account.
If you do not have a Jira Supportdesk portal account please contact the Administrator of the division to raise a ticket for you.

Dec 15, 2022Administrators of each YME division might want to allow their division members to create articles.
This is to be arranged through different roles, with different functions as described below:
Editor: starts writing the article and after completing, the article is offered to the Reviewer
Reviewer: reviews the article and secures the text to be in correct English and checks the fact sheets if applicable: if data is shared, it should be correct ! (Actually this answers the question: What is published ?)
Publisher: final approval that relies on previous check, but secures the channel of the information: Distribution group and Categories where the article is being published. (Actually this answers the question: Who can read what is published ?)
Infonet is used for sharing business information from YME to their business partners and therefore, these roles are strictly for YME staff, only.
