In this chapter below the Jira setup for YME Logistics project is explained.

YMES (YMES)

Users can create new work items via the YMES Boards.

The image2022-12-6_10-2-12.png button should be used for creation of a YMES work item.


YMES Issue types

YMES  has all standard Jira Software for Kanban template Issue types active. 

The relation or also called hierarchy of these standard issue types can be found in the Jira training Basics under Issue types .

YMES specific fields

  • Type: Issue type used, see list under YMES Issue types.
  • Priority: No default priority has been set when an work item is created.

YMES Workflows

YMES project contains two active workflows

Workflow and status for Epic, Story, Task and Sub-Task

  1. To do: work has not started (work can always move back to this status);
  2. In progress: Item is being worked on (work can always move back to this status);
  3. Done: The work is considered as finished;
  4. Canceled: No further work will be done on this work item, it is not required anymore or has become obsolete (a pop-up will allow filling the mandatory field Resolution).

Workflow and status for Bug

  1. Backlog: work has not started (work can always move back to this status);
  2. Selected for development; Bug has been selected as needs to be fixed (work can always move back to this status):
  3. In progress: Investigation has started/ solution is being worked on (work can always move back to this status);
  4. Done: The bug is considered as fixed and has been deployed to production (work can always move back to this status).
